Hildale is a small town located just 45 minutes East of St. George, Utah. It’s a fun getaway with hidden gems to explore such as Water Canyon Hike, great eateries and cozy lodges ran by the friendly locals.
Water Canyon Hike
Start your day hiking Water Canyon. If you are visiting during the late Spring through Fall, you will want to go early to beat the heat. Take lots of water. You’ll need it! This 2 hour hike is fairly easy, but there are some strenuous parts throughout.
Edge of the World Pub
After a great hike, there’s nothing better than cold beer and pizza! This hidden gem has all sorts of fun things to try, from a rack of ales to pizza. They also have large salads for the healthy eater. These are large portions so if you’re up for sharing with friends, that’s the best way to eat at this place. They have some activities such as music night. They post these activities on their Facebook page.
Zion Canyon Lodge
Now you’ve hiked and filled your belly, time to relax in a beautiful lodge. When this conservative community became more open to the public, owners Shem and Lisa remodeled their home an invited the world in with open arms. The room we stayed in was perfect with a door that opened to an outside sitting area to enjoy the red rock cliffs view. There is a great room for gathering with friends and the owners are there for your every need. If you want to stay a few day, they are also located just a short drive from Zion National Park.
